Avish Buck

Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of MCAN Financial Group and President of MCAN Home Mortgage Corporation. In these roles, he leads the execution of MCAN’s enterprise strategy, oversees core operating functions and drives sustainable growth across the organization.

As President of MCAN Home, Avish has full profit and loss accountability for the residential mortgage business. He is responsible for growth strategy, sales and distribution, capital deployment and operating performance, with a focus on delivering an exceptional partner and customer experience. His broader enterprise responsibilities include residential lending, MCAN Wealth’s term deposit platform, the Project Management Office, cybersecurity and key strategic initiatives.

Avish joined MCAN in 2020 and has held progressively senior leadership roles within the organization. Before joining MCAN, he held senior positions at First National Financial LP and built broad experience across lending, capital markets, investor relations, portfolio management, financial reporting, technology, risk management, mortgage servicing and corporate strategy.

Avish holds an MBA from Queen’s University, completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and earned an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University. He is a CFA charterholder and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
